NORTHERN INDIA:
( BARSANA HOLI)

Barsana Holi is celebrated in Mathura & Vrindavana situated in U.P. & also called as Lathmar Holi.Mathura is the birth place of lord Krishna & Vrindavana is the place , where he spent his childhood. The barsana holi is famous because of its Lathmar holi, here men from Nandagaon came to Barsana where men & women play holi by using sticks but carefully.It is believed that krishna belong to Nandagaon & Radha belong to Barsana village , 42 kms from Mathura so holi is considered the most important festival with its own traditional legends.This holi is celebrated one week before the main day of holi.
DELHI:

In Delhi , holi is celebrated in modern way with D.J parties, loud music, colours, water sprinklers and also people enjoy by dancing on the beats of drums.Outside the city , Holi Cow Festival is also celebrated and famous for its madness and music .
JAIPUR:

Jaipur is called as pink city and famous for its rajasthani traditional culture . Here, holi is celebrated with great pomp and show and is famous for its elephant parades , folk music and dances in the eve of Holi . An Elephant festival kicks off holi is also famous there but is cancelled from last year due to animal rights group so as to protect animals .
EASTERN INDIA:
(BENGAL)

Holi is called as DOL JATRA in bengal. It is also called as Vasanta Utsav which was started by famous bengali poet ' RABINDRA NATH TAGORE' . One day earlier, the Students of Vishva Bharti University dressed up in spring colours and perform cultural programme as a holi festival celebration .
'DOL JATRA' also means 'SWING FESTIVAL' because on this day women sings devotional songs and perform there dances around the swing . Men of bengal spray colours and abeer on the women and on each other.
ORISSA:

The most famous temple of Krishna and Radha is situated in Orissa which is called as Jagannath Temple of puri so holi is celebrated with great joy in devotion to krishna . Orissa is also famous for its colourful holi celebrated by people with full devotion to God.
NORTH EAST:
(MANIPUR)

The celebration for HOLI continues for 6 day and commences on full moon phalguna. People of manipur enjoy this festival with folk songs and dances . All forget their differences and play with colours ,eat various dishes and exchange their greetings of holi with happiness.
Even the country is saggregated into various states and territories , no matter whether people of the country are rich or poor , even though the regional disparities are still exist but one thing is important amongst all is the feeling of love, brotherhood and happiness that unites all the people of the country together which the festival of holi always brings with it.''HAPPY HOLI''.
South INDIA:
In south India Holi is not celebrated with that energy as compare to North India, only migrants seems to celebrate a little bit of Holi .
